PJ was a member of 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marines - CAAT Platoon stationed at Camp Pendleton. He joined the Marines April 11, 2003 and was an Assaultman. PJ died during a training accident at 29 Palms.

PJ loved life and his country. He wanted to be a Marine very much. He wanted to protect everyone around him. He was a great mentor to the younger Marines. He looked out for them. His smile shows how proud he was of what he was doing.
