I am trying to find a certain movie

I am trying to find a specific movie it was in the late 80s early 90s
It was about a young teen who has to move to a new town and wants to play her keyboard but the band wont let her cause she is a girl it is while she is in summer camp so she dresses up like a boy and joins the talent show with them but also has to do the talent show as a girl with her girl friends. One of the songs that is in it is I wear my sunglasses at night.
I have been trying to find this movie for a long time.

I tried searching for it online for you. Sometimes when you type in the song it will bring up movies but I had no luck on this one....sorry.

I dont remember the name of the actor the only thing I know is the girls name is alex I think.. Thanks for your help. I tried looking it up by the song too but it didnt work for me either.
