Yep, Id like to run from Russia, but Marine Corps are not my way out, I finally understand that only army, only Marines may help me become a real man, achieve something in life! And its very serious for me now. So im asking for any suggestions on how to get an american soldier. I guess you may help.

Hello and welcome to the Hangout. The only way for you to serve in our Military, is for you to move to the United States. You would need to become a US Citizen, as well, at some point. There are branches of our Services that will allow you to join, once you have been residing here legally for a certain period of time and then you would need to become a Citizen while serving, I think. As for the Marine Corps, I think they require you to be a Citizen prior to enlistment, but I'm not sure about that either. Hopefully, one of our members here can give you better information on this. Just be patient and someone will respond, I'm sure. In the meantime, have a look around the site as there is a lot of great information throughout and you may even find the answers to your questions along the way. Good Luck.

You're best bet would be to contact a recruiter.

Kristen, I served with non-citizens and even a citizen of a communist country (China) while I was in. One guy was even from South Africa and was recruited out of that country. However, this was over 20 years ago and things have obviously changes in 20 years. It may affect his ability to get a security clearance but not his ability to serve. I would go to Marines.com (http://www.marines.com) and contact a recruiter through the website there to get more information on how to join the Marine Corps from overseas.
The following are the basic requirements for joining. You must:
1. To enlist, you must be a U.S. citizen or a resident alien (A foreigner who is a permanent resident of the country in which he or she resides but does not have citizenship.).
2. Meet exacting physical, mental, and moral standards.
3. Be between the ages of 17-29. Seventeen-year olds need parental consent.
4. Have a high school diploma.
5. Take and pass the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test (http://www.military.com/Recruiting/ASVAB/1,13387,,00.html).
6. Pass a Military Entrance Processing Station medical exam.
7. Women are eligible to enlist in all occupational fields, with the exception of combat arms specialties: infantry, artillery, and tank and amphibian tractor crew members.

I would also add that the age limit may be your problem for the Marines. I see from your profile that you are 26
and that means you are fast approaching the maximum age limit ( considering the other obstacles you have in
front of you ). Best of luck to you.

Thanks Steve for clarifying that for him and for me. I wasn't sure and that was why I stated I wasn't sure. I know at one time we had other members here who were from out of the Country and they couldn't get a Recruiter to send them any information from overseas. They were told they needed to get themselves to the US in order to get the information. May just have been that particular Recruiter not wanting to mail him the information or something.

Great thanks for all ur advices. Seems there's no way out insteed of gettin my ass to US and to find recruiter there. So guess now that ASVAB test and further physical trainings wouldn't be a problem=)
Should start relocation preparations.
