Well, Washington wins the bidding war for Randle-El. I wonder who the Steelers will pick up off the wires...?

The beast from Philly.......T.O. BABYBite your tongue. I thought you were a Steelers fan. Why would you curse the reigning Champions like that. A pox on your children.

Steelers would never pay him what he wants and we are not the passing team so I don't think he would want to come here. ***Thank God***

I was talking to some of my cronies and they reminded me that the Steelers tend to not pick up free agents, much, rather they draft and mold players. They are sving for that, i guess. I think they are going to sign Charlie Batch again, for the No. 2 QB, then draft for some kid later. As far as wideouts, Quincy Morgan is a WO/KR, but he is up, too. They might sign him back, who knows. Rigth now i think Cedric Wilson will be the No. 2 WO and Morgan the #3.

I think you guys are right that they will draft receivers before trading for them, but with the loss of Randle El don't be surprised to see Pittsburgh go out and get a free agent receiver with some experience just as an ace in the hole. There are some good receivers coming up in the draft so I think that they will be alright.

They should have gotten Brandon Llloyd before Washington got him. I think he would have been a good fit with Ward.

Thanks for the title change CJ! You are too funny. :D :)

Oh, I know. Note the sarcastic green coloring of my question....

CplCJ
March 14th, 2006, 14:12
Well, Cincy fans...Say goodbye to Mr. John Kitna. He is going to be a backup in Detroit!
So much for playing on a contender team.

CplCJ
March 14th, 2006, 14:19
And now TO is a Free Agent-Philly cut him...

innersanctum
March 14th, 2006, 15:13
And Culpepper to Miami! Brees to New Orleans.

March 14th, 2006, 15:26
I am glad Kitna is gone he sucks. Just as long as Palmer comes back we are ok. How will you all live without Randall??? Looks like we are going to spank you again next year.

hankhoffman
March 15th, 2006, 05:48
The Steelers would have been better if we kept El but now they need to adapt. Maybe use the TE Miller more. We still have weapons out the yig yag, they just need to use what they have. As the Pat do every year.

I am glad Kitna is gone he sucks. Just as long as Palmer comes back we are ok. How will you all live without Randall??? Looks like we are going to spank you again next year.Might have to use Ward for the trick plays. He was a QB in college, too. Who does Cincy have as a back up to Palmer now? We lost Von Oelhoffen, to the Jets.

jarvisa
March 15th, 2006, 08:34
Dunno if you guys would leave him alone and just let him play we wouldnt even need one.

CplCJ
March 15th, 2006, 08:49
You mean Palmer? He IS indeed a very good QB. I like him. But he could go down at any time or just have a string of bad games. Have to have a backup.

Lauren's Soldier Boi
March 15th, 2006, 11:00
We have Krenzal from Ohio State the year they won the national title. Kitna really sucked as a player but how do u think palmer got so good. Kitna was basically a high paid QB coach. He helped both palmer and krenzal.

CplCJ
March 15th, 2006, 11:16
Glad to see you JR. Krenzal stinks according to Fly.

hankhoffman
March 15th, 2006, 13:21
Looks like the Steelers are getting a Safety (Clark) from the Red Skins.

CplCJ
March 15th, 2006, 13:35
They already signed him, and resigned Brett Kiesel. Have to replace Von Oelhoffen.

hankhoffman
March 15th, 2006, 13:42
Thanks for the Beer!

Kiesel is a good player and well do well.

CplCJ
March 15th, 2006, 13:51
You ever come West we will talk Free Agency football and have a real one. Sound good? It may be in October, but we can still do it. "Oh that was a nice hit by that free agent we signed, Brett "the Diesel" Kiesel!"

hankhoffman
March 16th, 2006, 06:06
I can't wait to see how the rest of FA goes!! I saw last night that Dallas let K. Johnson go and are looking to replace that big head with T.O.

If you let a WR go due to the money why would you look at a guy that will cost you more? Even if he is a better player. T.O. will damage that team or any other that he goes to.

CplCJ
March 16th, 2006, 06:32
Steelers resigned a bunch of people yesterday. Charlie Batch, Jarame Tuman, Brooks, got two fullbacks. Clint Kreiwalt, too.

Green Man
March 16th, 2006, 09:08
As far as Dallas goes, you are exactly right. How could you bring in a guy that's even less of a team player than Keshawn? Granted, he's more gifted physically and he's gonna have to mind his P's and Q's for a while (otherwise no one else will ever sign him), but how do you do it? Plus I don't think he would get along with Bledsoe

CplCJ
March 16th, 2006, 09:43
According to Adam Schefter from CNN, they need Wide Outs. Terry Glenn is it.

Lauren's Soldier Boi
March 16th, 2006, 11:03
T.O will not make it in Dallas.

CplCJ
March 16th, 2006, 11:09
Dallas is the only team that has the kind of money he will want. AND they need wide outs.

Lauren's Soldier Boi
March 16th, 2006, 11:11
But Parcells wont put up with his mouth and bledsoe wont either. He will only make it a year or two before he will leave again.

CplCJ
March 16th, 2006, 11:13
Parcell is who counts there. Parcells is the one looking at him, if I read it right. Bledsoe has little say in the matter.

Green Man
March 16th, 2006, 11:19
It'll be interesting to see where he ends up

hankhoffman
March 16th, 2006, 12:39
TO could end up as the only WR with any skill in Dallas. That means more balls for him.

CplCJ
March 16th, 2006, 13:25
Negative. Terry Glenn is still going to be there, and he is the primary right now. T.O. might go to Denver, too. That is the other team that might take him.

hankhoffman
March 17th, 2006, 06:47
TO and Plummer that should be funny!! He is going to be a pain to whatever team takes him.

Lauren's Soldier Boi
March 17th, 2006, 08:08
That not a good combo. TO and plummer. Who knows where he goes. Maybe the texans take him and draft vince young. HOLY CRAP! Can u say playoff team next year? LMAO:rolleyes:

Green Man
March 17th, 2006, 15:30
Even if TO went to Houston and they also ended up drafting Vince Young, they are still nowhere near a playoff caliber team. Their line still sucks and the defense is mediocre at best.

They would go maybe 5-11

hankhoffman
March 20th, 2006, 09:54
Well TO is in Dallas.

Can't wait to see how long it takes for him to open his mouth!!!!

CplCJ
March 20th, 2006, 09:57
He already has. "I am a star among stars..." He should have said, "I am an idiot among idiots." He is an idiot because he is T.O. They are idiots for signing him for $25M for 3 years.

hankhoffman
March 20th, 2006, 10:06
The Steelers resigned Townsend, good move!

Lauren's Soldier Boi
March 20th, 2006, 10:56
TO in Dallas wont make it a year. The bengals signed Antonio Chatman. Wat were we thinking?

CplCJ
March 20th, 2006, 10:58
The Steelers resigned Townsend, good move!So far they have resigned all but two of the remaining free agents. They lost two, signed three outsiders and resigned from within. Good moves.

March 22nd, 2006, 09:06
The Bears signed Griese from Tampa? Ugh! Can't they ever figure this out and get their act together?

Green Man
March 22nd, 2006, 09:33
Hahahaha! LOL! Man, Chicago adds another mediocre quarterback to the roster? Sweet! (just a little jab there Steve) Go Bears!

CplCJ
March 22nd, 2006, 09:47
So now Chi town has Grossman, Orton AND Griese? Who will start?

In all honesty, it probably doesn't even matter.

jarvisa
March 22nd, 2006, 09:52
I think there should definetly be some hazing for TO in dallas as he was remember the one who defaced the Dallas Star, they should definetly make him pay for that. At least now Roy Williams will get to woop up on him in practice.

Green Man
March 22nd, 2006, 10:01
TO's definitely going to have to be on his best behavior in Dallas. I can't see him messing around there and lasting very long. I'm sure that his contract reflects that too.

MadMax
March 22nd, 2006, 10:16
TO is a loser. Randel El now officially sucks too. I can't believe he left. Oh well, I guess the money was better.

Umm...there is a Nascar thread....

MadMax
March 22nd, 2006, 10:50
You could just answer the question, Mr. Difficult.

If this were the Nascar thread, I would tell you that Tony Stewart is ok.

MadMax
