I am in a heated argument wit ha couple of marine i work with about holes in uniforms.. They are saying that you can have a hole as big as a dime before it is unserviceable....... I have been searching every uniform manual i can find and no where in any of them does it say anything about holes in your uniform at all.
Any one have any info on this.... May be point my in a direction..

Not sure if what you are looking for is located here, but here's a link to Marine Corps Uniform Regulations:

I believe they may be correct, Certainly do not take my word for it, but I do remember something like this popping up while I was in. I looked at the Regs. but it does not say anything about acceptable limits of holes or tears.

The only uniform I would consider wearing with any hole in it would be my field cammies.

When I was in if had any uniforms with one or more holes they were saved for the nasty-est and dirty-est job, like painting or a dirty greasy job.

I have looked into that manual and can't find anything about hole in the uniform or serviceability....... Oh well I'll keep looking.
Hey what's with the boat in your picture? It looks like a boat from Small craft company in lejeune, is that who your son is stationed with.

Trapper is right, it's one of the stock avatars. My son is with the AAV Unit at Camp Lejeune. Presently, he's in the midst of his 6 month deployment training. When he's done, he will deploy with the 22nd MEU.
