Well right now I'm DEP. And I have a buddy that's been going to school with me for about the last 6 or so years and he's been going to PT with me and the such. He's became greatly patriotic and wants nothing more than to become a Marine in the United States. However, he was not born in America nor are his parents citizens, they're back in Mexico; so this presents his problem until he receives citizenship.

I did some research and found this one website, to allow you to apply online. http://www.uscitizenship.info/?ad=adword&keyword=uscitizenship2

My question is, do any of you have any type of advice that I can help him with. Is there a better way of becoming a citizen? Ect.?

Thanks,
Caleb

Ah, I may be mistaken, I thought the green card ran hand in hand with citizenship. But however, he doesn't have a green card. He came here about 8 years ago on a student visa. And no-one in his family, nor his gaurdians will help him obtain his green card/citizenship because they're trying to keep him from becoming a Marine. Basically, they're trying to force him to go back to Mexico and preach, which, is obviously not in his heart anymore...We all know that you can't push religion really.

But anyhow, i'm just trying to help him obtain his green card or citizenship. I know how much the Marine Corps means to me, and how good I felt when I swore in. And knowing that he has the same heart to do that, I want to help him in any way that I can.

I would talk to a recruiter about it a green card is just the card that says you can be here legally it isn't even green I will try and find the actual NIS form needed
