Do you know happen to know the name of any politician in Washington who's husband once wrote of his loathing of the military ? Got it yet ??
The Queen Herself. -Hillary Rotten Cliton. She Refused Repeated requests to meet with the Gold Star Mothers.
Now, Please don't tell me that your suprised. This women wants to be President of the United States-----and there is a huge percentage of voters who are eager to help her achieve that goal.
May you sleep in peace always. And please ... hug or thank a Veteran for that privilege.
Think about this ONE.!!!!
Don't forget, our girl, Hillarry Rodham Clinton, as a New York Senator, Now comes under this fancy congressional Retirement and Staffing Plan.
it's common knowledge that, in order for her to establish NYS residency, they purchased a million+ dollar house in upscale Chappaqua, NY. Now they are entitled to Secret Service Protection for life.
Still makes sence. Here is where it becomes interesting. The mortgage payments hover at about $10,000 per month. BUT, an extra residency had to be built within the acreage in order to house the Secret Service agents.
The Clinton's now charge the Secret Service $10,000 Monthly rent for the use said residence and that rent is just about equal to their mortage payment,......Meaning that the tax payers, are paying the Clintons mortage, their safty, and security, their 12 man staff and it's all perfectly legal.
Now WE dont want this woman to even think of running for President do we...

I don't like HRC...not even a little bit. Her as president would be terrible and I don't think we will ever have to worry about that happening.
As for how they are getting a free house....That is just being a smart person. If you can expose loopholes, you have to manipulate them to your advantage until those loopholes are closed. The more people take advantage of those loopholes the more they are brought to light and the less chance that others in the future will use them.

For snyone else, the Secret Service would have charged a fee to protect them. This doesn't bother me so much as the Senator's never have to pay taxes again, and get 100% medical coverage for life, all for their SERVICE to their country. Gee, I can think of a couple of other people that might fall into that catagory.

What of those Vets that live in East BFE? They have to travel a long time to get care.

alex that is just wrong just bring mad dog 20/20 give it to them and they will fight for hours well $.85 a round is cheaper than a bottle of md 02-20 ok the 45 is a better solution

Wow, who are you buying your rounds from? They're robbing you. If you spend more than 50 per, you're spending too much. And besides, the MD 20/20 would take too long.

Has She-who-is-not-permitted-to-be-named-here accepted the nomination? I have been out of the loop on the news lately.

Hi everyone, a friend of mine is a member here and he said I should come and join and get in on some good discussions. As far as Hillary goes, if she runs for the democratic nomination in all probability she will get it. It sucks, because I don't particularly like her either. There is no doubt she is intelligent, but who knows what she would do to this country.
On the other hand, if another Bush were to run for president (say Jeb), I would have to seriously consider who to vote for. Four more years of a theocratic regime does not sound good to me either. Perhaps it's time for the construction of another powerful political party in this country. The two party voting that our country has is too limited. There are not enough good options out there. :)

"She-who-is-not-permitted-to-be-named-here" as we like to call her, will win nothing because I feel that in 2007, everyone's eyes will open and see how inherently evil the democratic party is.

OK. I hope I didn't join a discussion where politics is referred to as good vs. evil. Democrats are not good or evil, nor are republicans. If you vote a straight ticket than you do not have the intellectual fortitude to sift through the propoganda from both sides. I am not a republican and I am not a democrat. I simply choose the best solution to the problem presented.
I am a bit anti-Bush, but I did not start out that way. When he was elected I gave him the benefit of the doubt. However, in the past 5 years it has become obvious that Dubya has the same IQ as a plate of scrambled eggs. He sorround himself with yes-men and people who do not question his methods, all the while these same people plant their own agendas into his melon soft head. Now, I don't care whether he's a democrat, republican, or Martian, but stupid is stupid. Political offiliation does not affect that.

All true, however, you overlook the fact that all politicians surround themselves with yes men. They wouldn't be nearly as confident in themselves had not.
I find it interesting that you use the phrase "intellectual fortitude" when judging someone's ability to render a vote they feel strongly about. Some of the smartest people on the planet vote a straight ticket. I think you may be confusing your ideals and the fact that most people just don't care. I also recommend developing your ability to recognize sarcasm, or this will be a frightening place for you.

He will get used to the sarcasm, by default. Are you a straight ticket man, Alex? I tend to be a lesser of the two evils man, myself. I would admit that I am generally conservative, but not neccesarily GOP. I take the best for the job approach. Do I think THAT woman is right, NO. Do I think Jeb Bush is right? I don't know enough about his issues handling. I know a lot of kids went missing in FLA over the last two years. So we know there are some problem solving issues he has. But to keep on thread, HRC-NO WAY.
Green Man
January 20th, 2006, 13:41
Most people aren't smart enough to pick and choose the issues to vote for, or they just don't give a rat's ass. That is what truly disgusts me about this country. Many do not know what they believe. At least we know which way we feel about certain issues. Be happy that your not some dufus sitting on the fence trying to decide who to vote for by which one wears the better tie. Vote the way you want to, believe the way you want to. It really doesn't matter. It's gonna get worse before it get's better.

No, I'm not a straight ticket man, but I know many people that are. I'm pretty damn close to a single lever puller though. There has to be some compelling issues to steer me away from the conservatives. But as Green Man says, we need to educate ourselves in order to make a sound, enlightened decision based on something more than outward appearances.
