I am a fan of a bolt action rifle for long range shooting. Are they still sending you out in teams??

I have a very good knowledge of this weapon, and can offer some advice, that is very valuable. First off, ASAP call mom, dad whome ever, and have them order you a AR-10 Bolt/ Carrier field repair kit at www.armalite.com (http://www.armalite.com) and have them ship it off to you. There are some critical parts in that kit you will need to have on hand that are known troublemakers that in a situation it may be good to have. The ejector spring after a couple thousand rounds starts to get a little weak, and causes failure to eject problems. In a pinch you could use the selector detent spring, it is small enough to fit and strong enough to push out the round. The SR-25 is a very well built weapon. Did you get the 1-11 or 1-12 twist barrel? There is a difference in the grain wait the two barrels prefer for accuracy. Also the Hammer trigger group are proprietary, don't try to swap it with anything besides Stoner. If you have any specific questions send them to my email. If I cannot answer them I will get reliable info for you.

It did not seem like he meant he was a sniper, but meant the Corps(we) used them. Did I read that wrong? I mean, if he were a sniper, he would know a whole lot about them...

Your M82 is a great rifle. It is a .50 cal and it hits pretty hard. A also like the modified M14. The 30-06 is another great round.

Any comparison to a Marlin .444?

From my experience withthe .444 it just kind of rolls back. Not that hard of a kick even my 30-06 kicks more.
PS reload for the .444 use a 240 gr vice the 280 your will find factory new round. Shoots a little flatter so you get a little more range. Plus even loaded hot it really does not kick at all.

You want Kick, try one I used to have. S&W 30-06 Ultra lite. Put on a new Pad and had a padded shooting Jacket on. 5 rounds was the Max I could Fire. Took me weeks to get it sighted in. I was about 25 then so could take a little more Punishment than now.

Was stolen from me think they did me a big Favor. Now I have normal weight Rifles and they shoot much better. I do have two others that I have not Fired that shoul have a good Kick. 300 Win Mag and .308 Norma Mag. Had a .308 Norma Mag it kicked like the .444 with a mild roll. But it was also Stolen no favor don there.

How many 12 Gauge shells would it take to compare

How many 12 Gauge shells would it take to compare to the M82A1?

That would depend on what 12 gauge you are using and what round you are using. such as 2 3/4 or 3 1/2, or 00 or 7 1/2 or slug.

Much of what recoil is the weight of the weapon and how it fits you. My Mossburg 500 has little if any Kick. But my old side by side kicks like a mule.

So if you want to get and Idea of how ithe M82 kicks check its size and weight. Think you will find it is one heavy rifle.

are you allowed to have weapons shipped over to you or do you have to use the rifle issued to you?

300 win. mag is the second hardest recoil I've ever felt, and also one of the most effective rounds I've ever used. Shot a few coyotes with my remington 300 win mag, talk about overkill. Had a BOSS flash hider and 10x Simmons scope.

I got to test fire the M82 and WHOA!!!!! But I want to try the newly developed Barret M107 with a .416 round (I believe).

You're weapons have to be G.I. You cannot bring your own. Sorry. Forgot to answer the first time.

Just to add to his answer. Think where will your ammo come from if you are not using the same as everyone else.
