What does everyone here think of this documentary? I just watched most of part 4 (I think) which chronicled D-Day and some parts of the pacific. It was very well done, with the imagery coming from real pictures taken during the time and promotional videos taken. So far, it has provided me with the best education I've had of WWII as my history education of that era has been severely lacking.

I recommend it to anyone who has even in interest in history what-so-ever. check out pbs.org for times. I know it is on all day today so catch it if you can!

I have only seen one of them. It looked like a great documentary. I want to see if they have it on demand.

Finest documentary on WWII I have ever seen.Should open a few peoples eyes as to what a war really involves.Especially that one.I have a hard enough time with english.I sure wouldn't want to try japanese or german!!!We as a nation owe a great debt to that generation!!!

I saw it listed but didn't get to watch it I will try and catch it on the rebound.
I have noticed that PBS is putting out some really good military shows as of late.
