I am a member to a support group of women who are girlfriends, wives, or fiances to recruits and marines. And there is this girl on there who has led us all on for weeks about being pregnant and being the girlfriend of a recruit. Every week her story would change about what week he was in and then the biggest lie of them all came when she said she had had the baby. Well finally, she admited that there was no baby at all n it was all for a school project. But it makes ya wonder if she lied about the baby, something so wonderful, could she even have a recruit in the marines at all?

Unfortunately there are so many people like that out there, who find nothing better to do with their life then to falsify themselves to others on the internet. There was a girl on another board I belonged to, while my son was in boot camp, that did almost this same exact thing. The board owner started to notice some inconsistencies in her pregnancy (the board owner was pregnant at the same time) with the things she was saying. When the girl realized that she had made mistakes on her story and people knew something was up, she told everyone she miscarried. We all finally found out the whole thing was a lie and the board owner banned her.
It's sad that people feel that they need to make up stories about themselves, to get people to think better about them or something. They hang on everyones heartstrings and use them for their own self worth. This girl obviously needs some serious therapy!
Incidentally, what kind of a school project is she doing, that the school would condone her to lie about being pregnant, etc?? I don't remember any projects like that when I was in school! Another fine reason why I think they need to put religion back in schools........

If you have a name for the "recruit," I can see if it's real or not

Robot Baby Oh man you had it made We had a egg (not boiled that would just be cruel) lets just say eggs break a whole lot easier than robot babies. No I didn't break mine.
People lie about all sorts of things they should never ever lie about Pregnancy, Cancer, Being a Marine. Why well because they suck.

Wow I can't believe that someone would go to such lengths to lie about something that is so serious to those of us who are in situations like that. Im with Stephanie that makes me absolutely repulsed. That is definantly imature and uncalled for. I wish I could get my hands on her....

People doing these kinds of things makes me angry for numerous reasons: 1) being a mom to an angel in heaven and 2) being a fiance to a Marine recruit and 3) just lying in general is something that shows weakness and hatred towards one's self.

Amen sister, I am 100% with you on that! What do people gain from doing that? Or better yet what do they THINK that they might gain from it? Are they just lonely looking to have someone to talk to and something to talk about??? ugh.

Well alot of younger people want the attention that their boyfriend or girlfriend is military. I think they see it as making them the center of attention around thier friends.
