I don't agree with the decision made my these Senators but at the same time, having an official language isn't going to make things better for me here so this decision doesn't really mean anything to me. Now had they voted to make French or Spanish the official language, I would have a problem with it.
Why do we need an official language anyway?

Well in reference to the thread on Macdonalds:
I suppose it would be installed so you don't have people in your local restaurant blurting out your order in a different language and not know what they're "really" saying.

English should be the language spoken here. It is the language we always had here since this country started. Why change it midstream?

i always rationalized that the "Declaration of Independence" & "the Constitution" were written and published in English, it is a no-brainer to me.
we even broke away from ENGLAND where they speak ENGLISH.
maybe its just too much for an old white trash jarhead like myself to comprehend LOL
