As usual, we love to watch the commercials during the super bowls. This year I wasn't all that impressed, but my top picks were ...
5. Budweiser's 'Rocky' themed horse and dalmation workout to make the team.
4. Pepsi's sucking Justin Timberlake along, smashing him into a mailbox a few times.
3. E-trade's talking baby and the "I really under estimated the creepiness" line about the clown.
2. Lifewater's 'Thriller' dancing reptiles.
1. Tide's talking stain during a job interview.
The that I enjoyed the most?
American Idol's using Ben Roethlisberger singing the 'Pina Colada' song in the locker room.
Which were yours?

I thought the JT was my favorite as far as funny, becasue I would like to drag him behind my car...I did like the Ben commercial, but I did not really get to hear it, cuz the baby was sleeping and I did not want to wake her up. It was so late in the game, I actually forgot about it and almost missed it. I liked the Lifewater one too.

I loved the dancing lizards.
I saw Ben's around 4pm right after I turned on the pregame! So that one played at least once before the game ... which means it will air more often, especially around here in the Burgh. Its good to see him poke fun at himself.
Was that Shaq on the horse as a jockey? That was "interesting" but I didn't laugh.
Also ... the grill of a car in the bed ... nice Godfather spin.

The Budweiser "Cheese" commercial was one of my favorites.
Also, how many of you went to GoDaddy.com to see Danica Patrick's beaver?

I went there before the game, so it was not anything interesting.

Not me ... if I want to see a beaver????? I'll just go pee. ;)
I forgot about the wine and cheese party ... I guess I didn't care for it because it always shows women as not being interested in the games. I'd have been in the kitchen ... and not to serve you guys either! :p

The whole last quarter my wife was sitting next to me like a zombie. Her mom called and I over heard her saying how bored to tears she was because of the game!

In my house, just me and the daughter, we were glued. Well, my daughter went upstairs for a while to be online but returned for the last quarter. At the end of the game we were hoarse. I felt I had attended a home Steelers game. Nothing "boring" about that game.

What a good pickup for them. He is a lot bigger than Shockey, too. The Shockster may have a job to fight for next year... He looked a little miffed up in the booth. I suppose I would be too, if I was stuck in the booth instead of on the field because of injury.

I have to agree John, I did like that. I saw it again last night and I loved the high-five they did at the end.
The frogs were classic!
Bud has always been good and my favorite of the horses was always them out in the field where they kick the football up through the upright telephone polls with the two cowboys looking on. http://www.usmchangout.com/msg/images/icons/icon14.gifhttp://www.usmchangout.com/msg/images/icons/icon14.gif

And held until it is returned...
Makes me laugh. I remember a Butter Bar once that liked abusing the etiquette. He would purposely not return the salute for a little while to see how long he could make the enlisted man wait. He would stay in the area, so by definition, the enlisted man had to hold the salute. This LT would let the guy know if he broke the code, too. What a nice guy!

I knew a couple of butter bars that would do the same thing. One in particualr..2nd Lt Voss. His Degree that he used to get into OCS was PE...lol. He thought the sun rose and set around him, and he was a PT freak. He would hurt us some mornings with the PT we did.

One guy I worked with was an absolute retarded geek who was no good at medicine (HM2). He wasn't well liked by many because of his own antics, and he absolutely despised the LPO (HM1) and the Chief. I only met his wife once at a super bowl party and she seemed okay. He was going for his BA in Healthcare Administration at the time so he could put in for Medical Service Corps (MSC officers). After he came back from 'knife and fork' school he was transferred up to the hospital and away from the clinic. Talk about it going to his head. The way he talked down to the enlisteds, especially the Chiefs, got him no favors when he really needed them ... they only did what they had to do. And his wife? You would have thought she was an Admiral's wife the way she'd walk in and demanded things while often ridiculing some of the staff. It was laughable and at the same time, it was a sad demonstration of lack of real self esteem. They ended up ostracizing themselves from both sides of the fence; enlisted and commissioned.

Semi tied thread drift...LOL! Not sure why the wife thought she was the bomb. She doesn't mean anything to me as enlisted.

If she was a General/Admirals wife, or someone else high up the food chain, then maybe. Only because if they can make your life miserable, then you are nice to their wives. Otherwise, they don't mean jack and s***.

Hankster, why not close this thread. It did get out of bounds, I think. I also think we kinda beat up the subject, and ran out of things to talk about it, causing the drifts.
