Several members have had issues with staying logged in. So here is a list of this you should check. I am assuming those that were having problems are using IE since I have not heard differently:

Go to Tools >>>> Internet Options >>> General Tab >>> Browsing History >>> Settings >>>
Check for newer versions of stored pages should be set to automatically or every time I visit the site. Click Ok. Then click apply if it is not blanked out.

Still in Internet Options, under browsing history, click delete >>> click delete history, and then delete cookies. Click close when done.

Next (we are still in Internet options) click Privacy >>> Sites >>> add www.usmchangout.com (http://www.usmchangout.com), click allow. Click ok. Then you may need to click apply.

Close all browser windows and restart your browser.

Come back to the site, check the remember me box and then sign in.

Let me know if this helps. I run IE7 and have not had any problems on the new computer I just bought, nor the laptop which is what I was using.

If the above did not work or you use AOL you need to add our site to allow cookies even if you have before as from my understanding when AOL updated their software they automatically deleted the allow settings for cookies.

Also, if you run an anti-spyware program, many are set to check for and delete tracking cookies, you will need to make sure that our site is on your allow list for that program as well.

I use IE and have never had this issue ... not once.

If I check off the little box next to "log in" ... I stay logged in and all is right in my little world. :D

You are using IE6 right? Let me know. That is what Trapper is using and he is having one hell of a time.

I had an issue with being prompted to log in once right after the updates when I was trying to get New Posts. One time. I do, however get that same issue when trying to access the Photo Gallery. I did not realize this was the same thing I was talking with Bridget on. I am going to test Firefox for her. I may even jump up to IE7 fro grins.

I am at a loss here. I wonder if my proxy server is stopping something. I will have to check my event viewer.

Now THAT sounds familiar CJ! I know when I've used a proxy server from home that it wouldn't navigate from page to page in the forums without having me log back in again all the time. I'll bet that's it! And that is from a non-IT person. $9.98 please! :D

I use Firefox and I've had no problems. Nada a one:) And.... I'm not an IT anything, as well. I'm actually quite computer illiterate, as well. I've gone through 3 computers, due to my illiteracy:eek:

LOL ... my ex never could grasp the concept of hooking up the stereo, VCR, TV with the cable and all. Every time we moved the electronics department was MINE -- whew! Later with the computers I wouldn't allow him near them. He never was good at them. My dad was a telephone man who worked for MaBell installing phones and putting up the phone lines outside on the polls. This was back before "jacks". This required actually wiring the phones into the wall outlet. Because we lived in an older house my father had phones on every floor for convienance. I remember once, as a punishment for talking on the phone too long, my father removed the phone from our floor (the 3rd floor was actually a completed attic that 4 of used like a dorm). He unwired the phone and left it there. Well ... I just rewired it (after figuring it out). I never did get in trouble for that. My dad was too impressed that I figured it out. :D Electronics and stuff like that have always come easy to me.

Maybe I should have gone into IT. My first computer I used to 'crash' on purpose sometimes after playing in autoexec.bat so I could figure it out and bring it back to life. I always did, too. Now though you don't even get into the MS DOS part of the computer often. Not with windows, but back in the day though ...

Well I failed BE&E in the Navy, but I do know how to hook up any Computer, old time stereo outfit. how to install basic wiring in a house, how to install phone's rebuild small engines, and many other things. , comes from growing up on a farm. as well as how to cook and bake. and can things from a garden.
