Received my invitation a few days back for the upcoming Hue City Memorial Service which is held anually in J'Ville Florida. All Marine and Navy personnel involved in the Battle For Hue (TET68) are personally invited by the Commanding Officer of the ship and the Navy always lays out the red carpet for us guys. The skipper of the USS Hue City throws quite a shindig while the ship is docked there.
The USS Hue City is the ONLY US Naval vessel named after a Battle from the Vietnam War. That is unless another has recently popped up that I am not aware of.
Unfortunately for me I am unable to attend this one but I deeply appreciate his invite. Thanks skipper and Semper Fi
