I am a music freak, so how is it I don't know either of these? LOL
Now, if you wanna talk cheesy hair metal from the 80's, I'm your girl! :D

80's hair bands were awesome! Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, Def Leppard. Winger, Stryper, Bon Jovi. Come on, I could go on for days. I still like them. I like U2 most of all for Pop/Rock bands, but Pink Floyd for classic rock. I also like alternative like Souixee and the Banshees and The Cure.(speaking of hair, take a look- )

These are some tame pics of Robert Smith of the Cure. Here is Souixee:

Old Bobby is starting to show his age but you do have to give it to him he did single handedly save South Park
I do like queens of the stone age they are a pretty decent band. I have yet to pirate any of their music, but do enjoy their radio play.
Winger and Stryper come on CJ to quote a anti vampire poster they suck. I mean Tesla looks great compared to those two. Point of trivia Testla started all their tours in Battle Creek Mi, why I know not but they did. I am surprised you didn't bring up Keel or other no hit wonders of the 80's. I will give you props for Iron Maiden though. Their songs have lyrical depth and just plain out rock, even the new stuff and now Bruce is back with the band...

Tesla does rock, but I could not name every single 80 band. Too long of a list, esp. one hit wonders.

I wasn't really presenting Tesla as a prime example of good music. Maybe I am a year or two to old, but my general opinion is that the 80's hair band was one of the lowest points in musical history other than 1985 the year that rock I don't know went on vacation or something. I remember coming home on leave driving and when I got in to range of my favorite rock station I heard Debby Gibson followed by Madonna. It was a sad day for me. I don't think that I have recovered still. It was a time when Def Leppard was the hardest thing being played on the radio. People may berate them but that band saved rock and roll.

So you don't know who Tesla is? Or Def Leppard? Not clear who you were speaking about not knowing.

Oh I know what you meant I just chose to present it like I wanted. The who is always good for that, not to mention Yes. That Alan White has a really cool drum set
