The Department of Defense announced Oct. 16 they will resume the mandatory Anthrax Vaccine Immunization Program, also known as AVIP, for military personnel, mission-essential DoD civilians and contractors, assigned to certain geographic areas of the world.

They did not have this shot when I was in.

All I know is in boot we got a crapload of shots. Not sure what they were.

i don't know what all we got, but i remember about 8 in each arm and then doing push-ups to keep from getting sore, LOL like that would help

That's what they told us, too. Funny, they got sore anyway, from the shot AND the pushups!
