Montebello High School in California







You will not see this heart-stopping photo on the front page of the NY Times, nor on the lead story of the major news networks. The protestors at Montebello High School took the American flag off the school's flag pole and hung it upside down while putting up the Mexican flag over it. (*See pictures below*)

I predict this stunt will be the nail in the coffin of any guest-worker/amnesty plan on the table in Washington .. The image of the American flag subsumed to another and turned upside down on American soil is already spreading on Internet forums and via e-mail.

Pass this along to every American citizen in your address books and to every representative in the state and federal government.. If you choose to remain uninvolved, do not be amazed when you no longer have a nation to call your own nor anything you have worked for left since it will be 'redistributed' to the activists while you are so peacefully staying out of the 'fray'. Check history, it is full of nations/empires that disappeared when its citizens no longer held their core beliefs and values. One person CAN make a difference.

This definitely p#sses me off. While the school nor it's staff/students took part in this, the mere fact that it took place (no one stopped this from happening when it was happening), makes them a part of it!

Thanks Kristen.I was thinking exactly the same thing.Think of the time it took to bring down my (our) flag ,turn it upside down which is the sign of distress,unless thats changed ,then fly the Mexican flag.When I was in school they would have had my a## in a heartbeat.

To me the problem seems to be that instead of them coming here and living an American life they want to "change" everything. Other immigrants who have come here in the past have had to learn to speak English and live as an American. They have had to earn there citizenship. If they want to fly a mexican flag than they should go back to mexico and do so. If they do not want to speak English then they should go back to mexico and speak their language etc. To turn our flag upside down is just complete disrespect and they (whoever they are) should not be here.
The worst part about the whole thing is that we are allowing this to happen and catering to them. I just do not understand it.

in some ways I agree that there shouldn't be laws regarding flag use, but on the other hand........For intentional misuse and abuse I think that yes there should be a pretty stiff penalty for said crime.
There is nothing wrong with being proud of your heritage but one must still be loyal and respect the country of there current home. I have nothing against Mexican's waving a Mexican flag. The Mexicans should be proud as they won their independence from france, and in doing so joined the ranks of almost every other country that has fought france and won. That said no other flag should be higher than the USA flag, our flag never dips to other flags or heads of governments. It is true that California once belonged to Spain, but what these uneducated morons do not realize or just plain ignore is that Mexico as I stated above won its independence from france not Spain. So the point of America stole California and the rest of the SW USA is a load of well crap. It is past time that we should start pointing that little fact out to idiots across the board.

Now if Mexico wanted to become part of Spain again then fight a revelution to free its self from the tyranny of said Spain then maybe just maybe they would have a point about California etc.

Oh wait they still wouldn't have a point because the "revelution" against Spain would only be to free current Mexico from there evil rule.

Now as a added point technicly all of New England once belonged to Spain. It is like if some one in Michigan decided to fly a Canadian flag here because at one time the USA belonged to England.
