  1. CAUTION: Weight Loss In Progress

by on March 9, 2010 at 12:05 AM (HOUSEHOLD 6 (Life as a Military Wife))
Since I have stopped smoking (Jan 4, 2010) food has become my new crutch. I had already started gaining weight back last summer (right before I turned 30) and within 1 year (since last March) I have managed to gain 30 pounds. This coming from someone who use to have trouble gaining weight and had always up until the age of 23 had been underweight. When I turned 23 and had my 4th child, I was finally normal weight (145 pounds). I stayed between 145 and 150 up until a year ago when out of no where ...
  2. Productive Weekend

by on March 6, 2010 at 07:26 PM (HOUSEHOLD 6 (Life as a Military Wife))
Its been a very productive weekend so far! Last night we headed to the race track to watch a friend race his Nova. Jerry wasn't able to take the Camaro because the roll cage hadn't been completely welded in yet. Afterwords we came home and played Rock Band on the XBox with the kids and had some nice refreshing adult beverages

Today Jerry spent the day welding in the rest of his roll cage and putting the guts back inside of his car, lol. While I spent the day getting laundry done ...
  3. PTSD: The calm AFTER the storm

by on March 5, 2010 at 10:23 AM (HOUSEHOLD 6 (Life as a Military Wife))

I am also happy to say that MilitaryOneSource FINALLY came through and sent Jerry his appointment time. So he now has his first appointment set for next week. We are coming up on the three week mark since his last "episode". I am not sure if it's because I have made a point to keep him busy (you should see the honey do list he has!), or if ...

by on March 1, 2010 at 03:53 PM (HOUSEHOLD 6 (Life as a Military Wife))
I honestly believe that PTSD has made my husband in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. That is the best way to describe the mood swings. I am going to knock on wood before I say this next sentence...knock knock. It has been 2 weeks since the last episode! This is a first!

I know last time I said he had gone through MilitaryOneSource to try and get help. I was very surprised when he never received a response from them. It seems as even they now have turned their back on our service members as ...

  5. Mom's get sick too

by on February 23, 2010 at 10:17 AM (HOUSEHOLD 6 (Life as a Military Wife))
On Sunday I felt my husband's cold being passed on to be. I really hate having a cold. Why? Because it just lingers on and on. I don't like taking Medicine at all. Anyway, yesterday it really hit me and today its even worse. I think I may break down and take some cold medicine. I wasn't even able to work out yesterday which was a bummer. I did try but ended up feeling sick to my tummy and decided that probably wasn't the best idea

So today I will do my usual chores (minus working ...
