Body Fat Percent.
Last time i checked about 3 weeks ago, my Bodyfat percent was i think 27.
Is the maximum at 17 years old 18%?
If so, any tips on getting rid of it and building muscle at home? Don't really have the cash for a gym key right now.

Not sure if you have a YMCA in your area, Kisen, but in my area they used to allow the DEP members to use the YMCA for free. Talk to your area Recruiter and see if they have anything like that in your area. Aside from any advice the members here can give you, you could also do a search online for some home exercise programs to help you with that, as well. Make sure whatever exercising you do, you drink lots and lots of water too! Dehydration can reek havoc on your body, if you allow it happen. Good luck

I can give you some quick hints.I worked out for many years.
#1.Drink water and I dont mean no sissy diet sodas. If you can add a bit of orange juice or pineapple .It will help curb youer appetite.
#2.You dont need a gym key .Buy 2 cinder blocks probably right now at Home Dpot 3 bucks a piece. You can do curls, tricep presses ,punches and lots of other creative things.
#3.Start running. The Marine Corps is all about running for endurance.
#4.You want to build up your power make your girlfriend mad then let her sit in the car while you push it.MOTOR NOT RUNNING.(not sure on how mad you made her)Its a great exercise and if done right they apply nthe breaks to give you resistance.
Their are many more tips I would gladly give you but it may be better if you im me witn an email addy.I spent quite a bit of time working for the YMCA and competed for a bit in powerlifting and for the last 20 yrs participated in MMA fighting.
No belts here but I would gladly give you many workout tips taht you dont need to go to a gym for...HM3 John Willey FMF 75-82

Re: Body Fat Percent.
if you have a back pack, fill a sand bag and put it in it do push ups, lunge's, squat thrusts and squats. get a 2x4 a little bit longer than shoulder with and do calf raises. stand on it with the balls of your feet to get a full range of motion. put it behind your heels when you do squats to isolate the quads in your legs, remove it and it works your butt more.sit ups and pull ups go to a playground they have monkey bars you can use for that. between the cinder blocks and this and running, you can get a whole body work out with out a gym. you need to know something in boot camp they are going to do more callisthenics's than power training. push ups, pull ups, squats ,squat thrusts, running and sit ups is what you need to concern your self with. its about endurance the more you have the easier boot will go for you. you get to eat but it wont be enough to maintain a body builder physique. i weighed 180 going in and was in good shape. i weighed 150 when i got out. they burned not only fat off me but muscle too. i got thrashed on the quarter deck alot. lol

Thrashed on the quarterdeck.. I was a "Special owe me" private for 2nd and 3rd phase. Lots of quarterdeck time there! Don't forget mountain climbers! They seem to help out too. Not as much movement maybe but the work your stomach.
