Just an update

Hey guys,
I just thought I'd let you know that I officially graduated from High-School on the 5th of this month in the Royal Exhibition Building (A building famous for the first session of Australian Parliament in 1901. The significance of the building was lessened due to the fact that the building was now playing host to a High-School Graduation) where my year level and I received our High-School Diplomas.
On the 4th however I found myself making preparations to enlist in the Marine Corps. Originally I was looking to talk to a Chief Warrant Officer Mayfield in California (my father had spoken with him and he had asked to speak to me) only to find that he wasn't there and when I tried to follow-up on what was previously discussed with the CWO the Marine I was speaking to told me that the best thing to do was to call the Recruiting Station in Guam. I thereafter came in to contact with a Sergeant Luna who has been recording my personal information before sending it off to MEPS.


It'll be interesting to see what happens next. Especially seeing that I've been receiving a lot of confusion about the Marine Corps' policy on Asperger Syndrome. I've received answers ranging from "No Way Jose" to "Yes but only if you haven't required special accomodations for education or work for 12 Months." so having my information processed through MEPS will get that whole mess clarified. I'll keep you guys informed.

Congratulation's on graduation! I bet it feels good to be all through with school ~ I know it did when I graduated. I missed my classmates, but that was it! I hope all works out for you, with getting into the Marine Corps. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and keep you in my prayers. Good luck and thanks for giving us an update.

Congrats, Sean!! Now you off to the adventure you have geared the rest of your life towards. I wish you all the luck in the world in this quest. Remember also that Public Service OF ANY KIND is important. It also looks good to Recruiters and helps them to toot your horn to the folks who will ultimately make the decision on whether you have a health concern for the Corps or not. Explore every avenue open to you.

OK now high jacking Sean's thread but staying on topic.

My internet is down/gone for a bit. I have to use the library now (again) When one lives in the sticks of northern Michigan Ye Ole Internet is not widely available and one is forced to use things like verizion wireless which only gives like 5 GB per month of use up and down. My Brother used it and ran it way over and at 25 cents per Mb it doesn't take all that much to rack up a nice bill. So till that is paid I will be sparadic. or until the end of Feb. I am going back to school starting Feb 22, 2010 so will be on more t hen.
