I need to vent! Sorry in advance
Okay, I still live with my parents (it's cheaper this way) and my younger brother doesn't do sh*t to help out, like wash dishes, laundry, or even clean up, all he does is play his video games, but he gets to go to his girlfriends house which is like 45 minutes away and the little b***h gets to come over for like a week or three at a time (even though my parents say they can't they get too anyway cause my parents feel sorry for her which is the biggest load of horse sh*t. If she doesn't like what we cook for supper my parents take her to get what ever she wants. She leaves her towels where ever in the bathroom, her makeup is piled on the sink and there's always a big puddle of water on the floor, she uses all the hot water and way too much shampoo and I'm not going to mention the other things she leaves laying all over the bathroom. When they make something to eat they leave a huge mess in the kitchen, eat and drink whatever they want wether it's theirs or not. Leave cups sitting around long enough for mold to grow, I had to use a paint scraper to scrape a sock off of a plate that was in his room and they get to sleep in the same bed. One day I was looking for dishes to wash in his bedroom and found something (I'll let you figure it out) that he says isn't his. I guess the biggest thing that pisses me off is that when he doesn't do what he's told my parents don't do anything but when I forget to do something even if I'm told to or not they get pissed.
I don't know what to do, it's like I'm alone or not welcome in my own home, I've tried asking my parents to not let her come over and I've tried being a complete a**hole to her so she wouldn't want to come back over but nothing seems to work, I just get yelled at. When she's here I'm either pissed or stressed out. Sorry about dumping this here but none of my friends really careLast edited by Marine_wannabe; July 28th, 2012 at 00:50.

No need to be sorry to vent. It's not healthy to hold things in. Unfortunately, as long as you reside under your parents roof, there is not much you can do about the things that they allow to happen in their home. I know that it's cheaper to live there, but why not try to get a few of your friends together and get an apartment. When you share expenses with others, it's not as expensive. Also, you could look into a studio apartment. They are only 1 room apartments, but are usually fairly cheap, as well. I know situations like this can be very frustrating, but the more you let these things get to you and anger you, the more they will eat away at you. Try to ignore these things as best you can and think positively. I remember the days of living at home and it wasn't always so pleasant. We all make it past that and move on...you will too. Good luck.

Sounds like a good idea. Try not to stay too long that you wear out your welcome though. If at all possible, offer him something toward room and board ( at least pay for your
own food ). Even best friends can become free-loaders. Best of luck to you. It does sound like that would be a better situation.Micky --- All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom; justice; honor; mercy; duty; hope. Sir Winston Churchill

One step at a time and positive thinking will get you going in the right direction. We all have moments in time, that completely knock us for a loop and aggravate the hell out of us....but there usually is a light at the end of the tunnel ~ it just might take awhile to get to the end is all. Good luck.
