I apparently haven't responded to this post in the 5 1/2 years that I've been here.
So, here goes........... Parris Island, Plt 1040, Oct - Dec 1968.
My two brothers also went to PI ( Sep '66 & Jan '67 ).
When you EARN the EGA it doesn't matter where you went to "grammar school".......

It's OK Mickey, I never gave it much thought till now, Parris Island is not real close to San Diego is it? like not just a few miles north east .....boy, this globe thing, it sure looks funny when you compare it to what the earth really looks like-flat......missed that one too didn't I? (** i'm just trying to make ya feel better Brother)......I was first born-MCRD-SD, last born, my baby brother became my Brother at MCRD-PI. Truth-insanity runs in familys, and we did not know we shared a common thing-the same birth mother till 10 years ago. We came to the conclusion that insanity might run in our family, but the jury is still out. They ran.
For you "grammar school", for me, high school. I quit to join and graduated with my class in a way.
