All I remember about MEPS was being in the hotel the night before, the long day of standing in lines, fillig out forms, and then the swearing in. Oh yeah, and the physical...boy was that fun...lol

The bend over is to do a prostate check. Though it is typically not a problem until you are older, it is still done to at least get a base line and make sure you are ok as far as that goes. Turn your head and cough is a hernia check.

You need to make sure that you are completly up front about any and all medical issues. Most things can be waived. However, if you lie about something (or leave it out because your recruiter told you to), there is this lovely little thing called fraudulent enlistment. Last time I knew, it was punishable by 10000 dollar fine and/or up to 10 years in prison (it may be 5 and 5). While there are some that say that it is just a scare tactic...in my opinion...I would not risk it.

As stated above there are lots of forms to fill out, lines to stand in drug testing, and a full physical

I wouldnt encourage anyone to lie but its their job to DQ you I saw a guy sent home for a consult because he said he had taken a Tylenol a few days ago cause his leg was sore. Good Luck and Enjoy!
