Marine Honored for Rescue Effort

Sgt. Kenneth O. Kelly was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Medal in a ceremony at the Camp Hansen Theater. The Navy and Marine Corps Medal is the second-highest noncombatant medal Marines and Sailors can receive.

This young man certainly earned that medal and all of the respect that comes with it. I am a bit surprised that he never knew the names of the 3 men he saved. One of the first things I would have done is find him and thank him!!
I agree with Kristen, this is just one more reason to be proud to be a part of the Corps family!
