Up Close and Personal
Marine Corps service members of Combined Anti-Armor Team Black Platoon found themselves dismounting Amphibious Assault Vehicles and running hundreds of yards through Korea's tall grass, closing with the "enemy" during the Combined Arms Live Fire Exercise.

Wow those guys almost never get out on foot. I am sure it was a nice change of pace.

I think it is great they are doing regular grunt stuff. They have to know how to do it, it makes perfect sense. If a trac goes down, but has survivors, they pretty much become ground pounders anyway.

They still went to SOI. I know that for 0352 it was a second MOS school you had to attend beyond SOI

I know all the 03s go to SOI/ITS. Is trac an 03 field?

They are in Humvee most of the time per Article but were riding in track for this exercise. I am not sure of the current structure of that unit. I know that LAV's are running or were a similar structure. I think it runs 2 Tow missile 1 grenade launcher and 1 7.62 Machine gun. The Marine Corps was just setting it up when I got out so my info is dated at best. Maybe somebody has something more current
