Re: bulldog cost?
I paid $1000 (and that was after begging and pleading for a deal for over 3 years) for mine and you should consider that cheap. Then there is the cost that goes with having the bulldog. I have had mine for 5 months and have incurred nearly $500 in vet bills. Some of it was routine, some was out of the ordinary.
Consider that you have to find a vet that has seen a bulldog before and you limit yourself a little more because they are a specialty breed.
They are also the best dogs ever and deserve every penny you spend on them.
Given what I have paid for mine and what I have seen them sell for, you should expect anything from $1000 to $2800 on average."And to keep our sacred trust with those who serve, we will raise their pay and give our veterans the expanded health care and benefits that they have earned." -Barack Obama - February 24, 2009

Re: bulldog cost?
I would say the average range is about $2300, I've seen normal prices of $1800-$3200. Normally with an English Bulldog it really doesn't matter about papers, at least with what I have encountered they have never been offered up without, and if they aren't I'd question it. I have papers on Dozer, but have not registered him. We are possibly looking at getting a female, again don't care about registering and will most likely breed her with the other male we used to have again not registered, and sell them as pets only obviously at the lowest price. There is a huge cost though because Bully's cannot normally have a natural birth and have to have C-sections, hence the high costs of Bully pups. There is a breeder here in MA that only sells her pups spayed or nuetered and the cost is still $2000. I think it's a rip-off but hey thats why I will not buy my pup from her, unless of course we decide not to have puppies then that issue is already handled.
